We built this site for the Make A Wish Foundation for their World Wish Day promotion.
(The site is live from December through April each year while the promotion is active. During other months it may forward to their regular site, which we did not build.)
The rippling pool is all dynamically created in Flash. And the info and stories associated with each of the coins are pulled from a live database. When a new donor makes a contribution his name appears on a new coin in the pool immediately. So this is a user influenced persistent environment.
Have fun playing with the pool and creating interesting patterns with the water ripples.
